I'm an author of romance who writes, or tries to, around plenty of distractions. I have four kids ranging from seven to sixteen, and two young and energetic Australian shepherds named Big Blue Hero and Electric Blue Impulse.I've been writing since fourth grade, and produced my first romance (which thankfully was never published) in college, when I should have been writing term papers instead of fiction. My first book (a colonial Virginia romance entitled The Light in the Darkness) was published by Bantam in 1998. A few years later, I started writing ebooks. I currently have thirteen titles available, ranging from historicals to sci-fi romance to contemporaries.
In 2007 my husband passed away, and I stopped writing for a while. I reinvented myself as an indie author two years ago, but my re-entry into writing has been complicated by severe Crohn's disease. I've dealt with constant fevers, anemia so severe that I needed a transfusion, abscesses, minor surgeries, extreme exhaustion, and lack of appetite and the ensuing weight loss. I'm finally on a medicine that works, Remicade, and it's given me my life and energy back. I hope to get lots of books written this year!
